History
Restaurant Gverovic Orsan has been runned by family
Gverovic since 1966.
Mr. Niko Gverovic, who passed out in 1996, and his
wife Mira, came back to Zaton Mali in 1966, after spending few years working and gaining culinary experience in famous German
restaurants. They converted the old boat storage house into a
dinning room, built the terrace and supporting facilities, and opened the restaurant Gverovic Orsan on July 15,1966.
The doors of the restaurant Gverovic Orsan were
closed only once, during the war in Croatia, as Gverovic Orsan restaurant was located at the war zone. Trying to keep their gastronomy tradition over the war years, in late 1992 family
Gverovic opened the restaurant in Zagreb’s Petrova street, and was
successfully enriching Croatian capital’s gastronomic offer for more than seven years.
Today, Igor Gverovic, who inherited
the family business, runs the restaurant on the same track that his father has established 36 years ago. His wife Eta, mother Mira, daughter
Ena and son in law Milan accompany him in their
family business.
